Southern Air, based in Kentucky, USA, has selected A J Walter Aviation (AJW) to provide power-by-the-hour support to its current fleet of four 747 and four 777 aircraft. This twelve-year agreement for eight aircraft is AJW’s first contract with Southern Air.

We are stepping up our activities in North America and our new component repair facility, AJW Technique, will further enhance the integrated support we already provide for several airlines with lease, pooling and PBH solutions.”
Joe Meszaro, SVP – Technical Operations for Southern Air, confirmed that the airline will take advantage of the significant benefits that this global agreement will deliver adding; “The power-by-the-hour service from AJW will reduce our cost base and help us align our operational strategy for maximum efficiency.”
AJW will support Southern Air Inc. from both its London and Miami based facilities. AJW has recently invested more than US$25m in inventory to support an increasing number of operators and MRO facilities across the Americas.
