As rare snowfall hits Greece and Turkey, Cirium has reported that 943 flights were cancelled across Greece and Turkey on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th January – with further cancellations to come.
Mykonos Airport saw ALL flights cancelled on Monday 24th January as snow hit the summer hotspot Istanbul Airport saw the most cancellations with 416 services cancelled on Sunday and Monday due to snowfall. Athens Airport saw the second biggest impact, with 116 flights cancelled on Monday 24th alone.
