SkyWorks reports active Q3, with highlights in sourcing, advisory support

SkyWorks has reported an active third quarter across its advisory and asset management platform.

The firm advised Avelo Airlines on an order for up to 100 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft and supported the airline in arranging financing for these jets.

Copa Airlines was advised on sourcing a 737-800BCF aircraft, while SkyWorks also arranged the sale of an A320-200 on lease to Brussels Airlines and extended the lease of a 757-200 to United Airlines on behalf of US investors.

Other notable deals included the sale of six 737-800 aircraft to United Nigeria Airlines in partnership with Southwest Airlines, and the forward sale of 10 mid-life 737-800 aircraft to a major leasing company and two international airlines on behalf of a North American low-cost carrier.

SkyWorks continued to provide advisory support for clients on Chapter 11 restructuring, including Azul Brazilian Airlines.

It also provided advisory support to a North American low-cost carrier reviewing its commercial and fleet plans; to Flair Airlines for 737NG sourcing; and to an EMEA ACMI carrier on engine maintenance solutions.

The firm continued to support several North American airlines regarding aircraft remarketing, orderbook management, and potential acquisitions.
