Sky High to expand its Caribbean operations with second E190

Sky High has taken delivery of its second Embraer E190, leased from TrueNoord. The first Embraer E190 was delivered earlier this year and both aircraft will cater to an extensive network of about 15 destinations throughout the Caribbean islands and beyond.

Garry Topp, Sales Director, Americas, TrueNoord, said: “TrueNoord is delighted to work with Sky High as they pioneer route development across the region. The Embraer E190 has the potential to be disruptive to the Caribbean market.  It’s very exciting to see Sky High proving the case for the E190, with its range capabilities connecting destinations not only across the Caribbean but also to new international routes to the USA, Central, and South America.”

The addition of the second aircraft is a part of the airline’s expansion plan with rising passenger demand.

“Providing pan-Caribbean coverage has been the objective of many operators over the years but until now it has not been achieved. The team at Sky High has worked hard with the authorities in Dominican Republic, Aruba, and across the Caribbean to develop their network,” added Topp.

According to Sky High, the E190s offer greater flexibility and efficiency with a 98-seat configuration and comfortable dual-class layout.
