Swedish-based multinational development and construction company Skanska has signed a binding agreement to sell its entire 32% stake in LaGuardia Gateway Partners for US$115 million (SEK 1.2 billion).
The buyers are existing partners MI LaGuardia CTB and Vantage Airport Group (New York), and the transaction is expected to be recorded during fourth quarter of 2023.
LaGuardia Gateway Partners is responsible for the private investment, development, and operation of the entirely reconstructed Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport as part of a public-private partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Skanska led the design-build joint venture for the engineering and construction of the terminal, completed in July 2022, which also received the first Skytrax five-star rating of an airport terminal in North America.
