United Airlines said it expects the December holiday travel season to be another record breaker - planning for over 9.9 million passengers to fly with the airline between December 19 and January 6. This will mark a 12% increase compared to the same period last year.
“United is ready for the holidays - our teams on the ground and in the air look forward to delivering a great experience,” said United chief customer officer David Kinzelman.
The airline will operate nearly 4,500 flights per day. The airline expects December 20, 27, and 28 to be the busiest travel days with over 540,000 passengers per day.
