SITA, Amadeus, and the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) have joined forces to explore new solutions to produce flight-specific greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations.
The collaboration will pair SITA Eco Mission with Amadeus Travel Impact Suite. SITA Eco Mission draws on real aircraft performance and operational data to deliver accurate emissions and fuel-burn calculations, while Amadeus Travel Impact Suite aggregates carbon emissions calculations from multiple recognised sources and standards.
Together, the two platforms will aim to provide detailed emissions information so that travellers can make more informed decisions.
Their shared goal is to demonstrate how accurate data can support decision-making on sustainable travel and facilitate climate action, such as carbon offsetting.
