Azerbaijani cargo airline Silk Way West Airlines added its third 777 freighter aircraft to Heydar Aliyev International Airport as the airline continues its fleet renewal programme. The aircraft came directly from Boeing's Seattle facilities.
The delivery is part of the airline's order for 10 777F, which is expected to be fulfilled by 2030.
“By expanding our fleet with modern, fuel-efficient aircraft, we are not only enhancing our global service offering but also reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility,” said Silk Way West Airlines president Wolfgang Meier. "This investment supports both our customers’ evolving needs and our vision for sustainable growth in the years ahead."
The carrier expects the delivery of two Boeing 777F, two Boeing 777-8F, and two Airbus A350F aircraft by 2030.
