SIA signs up for Satair’s Integrated Material Services solution

Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed a long-term agreement for Satair’s Integrated Material Services (IMS) solution. Under this agreement, Satair will provide a wide range of expendable materials customised for SIA.

This service will support SIA’s operations in terms of aircraft availability and cost-efficient material handling. IMS will handle end-to-end supply chain activities related to expendable materials required for SIA aircraft, from forecasting and planning to purchasing and delivery, and will cover expendables needed for line and base maintenance in a defined and continuously growing scope.

Paul Lochab, Chief Commercial Officer at Satair, said: "The demand for our IMS solution is soaring as customers seek more seamless and integrated support to elevate their operations. We’re excited to take performance consistency and material delivery to new heights by tailoring our solution to our customers’ unique needs. With IMS, we’re delivering a game-changing solution that optimises aircraft availability and cost efficiency, freeing up valuable resources for airlines to invest in growth and innovation."

Designed in close collaboration with SIA, Satair claims that the tailor-made solution will allow the airline to realise an increase in material availability, alongside a reduction in inventory holding administration-related tasks, and obsolescence and scrap.
