Philip Goh, regional vice-president for Southeast Asia for Singapore Airlines (SIA), has commented that the of the Philippines’ airline industry is being hampered by insufficient airport infrastructure.
“Over the past two or three years, the Philippine market has been displaying very positive growth,” he said. “If the infrastructure is not at par with the market, then the market will not take off... If the infrastructure will keep its pace, then the growth [of the airline industry] will take off.”
