SIA Engineering has reported its first quarter results for the fiscal year 2024-25. Its revenues totalled $268.8 million, up 2.6% over the same period a year prior. Expenditure rose at a slightly lower rate of 2.4% to $267.7 million, mostly driven by higher material and labour costs.
It recorded an operating profit of $1 million, up from its operating profit of $400,000 in the same financial period last year. Net profit was $33.2 million, up $6.2 million over last year's first quarter of the fiscal year.
As of June 30, 2024, equity attributable to owners of the parent was $1.7bn, up 2.1% from March 31, 2024. This was largely due to profits earned in the first fiscal year quarter. Total assets as of June 30, 2024, were $2.1bn, up 2.4% from the end of the last fiscal year.
