The Netherlands' main airport of Schiphol in Amsterdam has reported a 23% annual increase in passenger numbers for March 2023.
However passenger numbers remained below pre-pandemic March 2019, when almost 5.7 million were reported.
The 4.6 million passengers landed or departed on over 33,000 flights, a 9% increase on March 2022.
The most popular countries were the UK, Spain, Italy and the US, the airport announced. Over three million of the passengers arrived from or departed for a European destination, while 1.8 million were recorded as transit passengers.
The number of cargo flights fell from almost 1,700 in March 2022 to 1,466 in 2023.
