SATS, the main ground-handling and in-flight catering service provider at Singapore’s Changi Airport has offered to buy a 49% stake in a Malaysian airline catering firm, Airline Catering Holdings, which is a subsidiary of Malaysian firm Brahim’s Holdings, for MYR110 million (US$25.76 million), with an additional consideration of up to MYR108 million (US$25.29 million). At present, the holding company has a 70% equity stake in Brahim’s Airline Catering, with Malaysia Airlines holding the remaining interest in the firm.
