SAS to join SkyTeam
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will join the SkyTeam airline alliance on September 1, 2024, after signing an alliance adherence agreement. As a member, the airline will be able to bolster its global network as well as offer other alliance members the best access to its key hubs. ""We are very excited to now have reached this pivotal milestone in SAS’ alliance transition journey,"" said SAS president and CEO Anko van der Werff. SkyTeam CEO Patrick Roux added: ""We are delighted to officially chart a path to SAS joining the SkyTeam alliance. ""SAS shares SkyTeam’s vision when it comes to delivering a more integrated and responsible travel experience,"" SkyTeam chairman Andres Conesa. SkyTeam members serving SAS' hubs include Air France, Delta Air Lines, KLM, and Middle East Airlines.
