Scandinavia's SAS has announced a major capacity growth programme for the winter season out of its Copenhagen hub.
The airline will add two new year-round routes to Vienna and Tel Aviv respectively. The Vienna route will operate twice daily, while the Tel Aviv route will operate twice weekly.
Additionally, SAS will add five new winter leisure destinations from Copenhagen, namely Marrakech, Funchal, Fuerteventura, Kittilä, and Turin.
The airline said the winter expansion builds on its successive summer expansion, with 19 of the routes it operated during summer 2025 continuing into winter.
This includes Nordic destinations such as Billund and Turku, European cities such as Budapest, Lyon, and Krakow, and intercontinental flights to Seoul and Toronto.
Overall, SAS will be offering 40% more seats than it did last winter, with 55% more connected destinations and 75% more transfer possibilities through Copenhagen.
“We are entering the first winter season with an optimised network setup,” said Henrik Winell, vice president of network at SAS.
“The results are clear: higher connectivity, better schedules, and even stronger offerings for our customers across the Nordics and beyond.”
