Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has appointed Jason Mahoney as chief operating officer. and confirmed Erik Westman as executive vice president (EVP) network and revenue management.
Mahoney joins from British Airways where he was chief technical officer and before that chief operating officer.
“I am very pleased to welcome Jason Mahoney to SAS. Jason is a well-recognised and experienced professional within the airline industry. He will be a valuable addition to SAS’ top management team,” said president and chief executive Anko van der Werff.
Mahoney, who is to replace Simon Pauck Hansen in May, said he is "thrilled to be reconnecting with Scandinavia given my previous experiences, which I thoroughly enjoyed".
Westman's appointment came after he spent five months as acting EVPa and means he is a permanent member of SAS group management.
