Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will expand its European network from spring 2011 with new routes from Oslo-New York and Copenhagen-Shanghai. The airline has also stated that it will launch new routes and increase frequency across a range of short-haul flights to destinations including Munich, Palma, Split and Venice. “Due to significantly reduced costs and improved market conditions, there are now greater prerequisites for a profitable expansion for SAS,” says Robin Kamark chief commercial officer of SAS.
