SAS has added Atlanta as its ninth destination in its north American network as part of its 2024 summer program. The Copenhagen-Atlanta flights will commence from June 17, 2024 and will operate daily on its A330 aircraft. Flights will reduce to five flights per week in its winter schedule, operating on its A350 aircraft.
"Through an agreement with Delta Air Lines, passengers can continue their journey on other Delta-served destinations out of Atlanta," said SAS president and CEO Anko van der Werff. "This development means an expanded offering for SAS passengers, who can look forward to reaching several new and exciting destinations".
SAS will also operate two daily flights from Copenhagen to New York (JFK), which will complement the existing daily flights to New York-Newark Airport from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen. Copenhagen to Boston flights will operate daily, up from six times a week during summertime. In addition, a fourth weekly flight will be added from Copenhagen to Toronto.
