Safran announced several executive appointments in early April.
Former government official Franck Saudo was named chief executive of the electronics and defence division, taking over from Martin Sion, who is moving on to be chief executive of the Safran-Airbus joint venture known as ArianeGroup.
Saudo is being replaced as chief executive of Safran Helicopter Engines by Cédric Goubet, an ex-civil servant and chief of staff to former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. Goubet joined Safran in 2010 and has held several leadership positions.
Goubet in turn has been succeeded as chief executive of Safran's landing systems business by François Bastin, who has been with the company since 1997 and in 2018 was named vice president, commercial engines division at Safran Aircraft Engines
