Safran appoints CEOs for Aircraft Engines and Electrical & Power segments

Safran has appointed Stephane Cueille as its CEO of Safran Aircraft Engines and Bruno Bellanger as CEO of Safran Electrical & Power. Bellanger will also join the group executive committee. 

Cueille's appointment will be effective in the first quarter of 2025, while Bellanger's appointment will be effective from January 1, 2025. 

Cueille was previously CEO of Safran Electrical & Power after being appointed in 2021.

“With his 16 years of experience at Safran, Stephane will be ready immediately to manage the ramp-up of the LEAP engine and prepare the next generation of engines through the RISE technology programme,” said Safran CEO Olivier Andries. 

Bellanger was previously general manager of power division and member of the management committee of Safran Electrical & Power after his appointment in 2022. 

Andries added: “Bruno's appointment, building on his current responsibilities, will enable Safran to further advance electrification for the next generation of aircraft.” 

The RISE programme, launched in 2021, is a joint venture between Safran and General Electric Aviation and aims to ahieve a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions, compared to current engine options.
