Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) solutions development platform SAF One has acquired Green Biotrade, a UAE-based feedstock and biofuels trading company.
The company said the acquisition will strengthen SAF One's supply chain capaibilities and secure critical feedstock for its SAF projects.
“Our acquisition of Green Biotrade represents a significant milestone in our mission to accelerate sustainable aviation fuel production,” said SAF One cofounder and director Deepak Munganahalli. “By integrating Green Biotrade's extensive trading expertise and robust feedstock network, we are enhancing our ability to source, secure, and manage the critical biomass resources essential for our SAF production.”
Green Biotrade CEO and founder Hani Samsam said: "Our deep understanding of biomass trading and sourcing aligns perfectly with SAF One's vision of transforming the aviation industry's approach to sustainable fuel. This integration will also allow us to grow and expand our capabilities in feedstock and biofuels, enabling us to further drive innovation and contribute more broadly to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions."
