Sabre to offer United's NDC to travel agents and buyers

Travel software provider Sabre is to distribute United Airlines' NDC offers through its global distribution system.

NDC refers to "new distribution capability", according to the International Air Transport Association, which sought to explain the industry jargon as "a data exchange format based on Offer and Order management processes for airlines to create and distribute relevant offers to the customer regardless of the distribution channel. ​​".

The Sabre-United deal means travel buyers, agencies and developer partners on the Sabre system "will be able to shop, book, and service United's NDC content through Sabre's Offer and Order APIs, the agency point-of-sale tool, Sabre Red 360, and the online booking tool, GetThere."
