Sabre and Royal Jordanian extend booking tech and distribution deal

Texas-based Sabre Corporation has announced the renewal and expansion of its"long-term distribution and technology agreement" with Royal Jordanian Airlines.

The extension means Sabre will "continue to distribute the carrier's content" via its global distribution system, connecting the Jordanian flag carrier to travel agents and other businesses connected to the system.

The airline is to make use of Sabre's "leading technology" for fares and availability updates.

"We have ambitious plans to double our fleet and operations within the coming 3-5 years and to position Royal Jordanian as the carrier of choice connecting Jordan and Levant with the world," said Karim Makhlouf, the airline's chief commercial officer.

"As a key building block for personalised retailing, our dynamic pricing engine enables airlines to optimise availability at scale and unlock greater value by maximising revenue," said Darren Rickey, senior vice president, airline sales, Sabre Travel Solutions.
