Ryanair has stated that it is considering participating in the upcoming IPO by Spanish airport authority AENA.
The Spanish government intends to sell-off 49% of AENA, which is valued at €16bn. AENA operates all of Spain’s airports.
Ryanair executive Peter Bellew said: "We think they should sell 100% of AENA, but we are interested in the whole process. We have the money and we are long-term investors."
Ryanair has been critical of AENA in the past, accusing the authority of obstructive practices.
