In May 2018, Ryanair passenger traffic grew by 6% to 12.5 million customer, with a 6% increase in load factor during the month.
For the past 12 months to the end of May 2018, Ryanair flew 132.1 million passengers – an increase of 8%.
Ryanair commented in a statement that the air traffic control strikes and staff shortages caused the cancellation of more than 1,100 flights in May 2018 compared to 43 cancellations in May last year.
