Ryanair has hit a new record for passenger numbers in October 2022, with over 15.7 million passengers. The total was a 38% uplift from the same time last year when the airline flew 11.4 million passengers despite the pandemic restrictions.
Ryanair operated a total of 88,560 in October 2022 with an average load factor of 94%, posting a year-on-year improvement of 10%. In the last 12 months, Ryanair flew 157.4 million passengers.
Just last month, Ryanair announced that it would add 2,000 jobs in Ireland by the end of the decade as it plans to grow passenger numbers by 10 million.
The airline plans to invest €20bn in aircraft, €50m in a Santry training center, and €8m in an engineering excellence center by 2030.
Going ahead the airline expects to fly 166.5 million passengers by March 2023, which would be significantly ahead of its previous record of 149 million.
