Thousands of Ryanair customers have joined a group lawsuit over what they say are “unfair charges”. Over 5,000 people, mostly from Ireland, have signed-up to what is essentially a class action suit against the airline relating to the €45, €15 and €160 fees charged respectively for checking in at the airport, printing boarding passes at the airport and making changes to the name on a ticket.
This action is riding on the back of a small number of actions being heard during July to have the Ryanair charges declared unfair – if they succeed then the gates will be opened to further large scale action.
