Ryanair has released its traffic data for September, showing that the low-cost airline carried 19.4 million passengers in total.
Total passengers were up 2% over the same period last year, and load factor remained unchanged at 94%. Overall, Ryanair operated 107,000 flights in September 2025.
On a rolling basis, Ryanair’s total passenger numbers were up 5% in September 2025, increasing from 193.6 million a year prior to 203.9 million last month.
Last week, Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary called on the Irish government once again to eliminate a controversial passenger traffic cap on Dublin Airport, a key hub for the airline, which has been in place since 2007.
As covered by Airline Economics, a temporary suspension of the cap, which was extended by the Irish High Court in April this year, has allowed Ryanair to offer a “record” number of services from Dublin this winter season.
In total, Ryanair will be operating 96 routes from Dublin, including a new route to Rabat and increased frequencies on 28 other routes, including Birmingham, Budapest, Krakow, Milan and Valencia.
O’Leary also said the suspension of the cap has allowed Ryanair to grow its traffic through Dublin Airport by 9% in 2025.
