Ryanair has announced new summer routes from Glasgow and Prestwick airports and listed its seasonal flights from Aberdeen.
The Irish carrier, which describes itself as "the UK's number one airline", said it would increase the frequency of its route from Glasgow, the biggest city in the UK region of Scotland, to Dublin, the city where Ryanair is headquartered and the capital of Ireland, a state bordering the UK.
The new routes from Prestwick to Marseilles and Pisa are to start from "Apr 2023", which likely refers to April 2023, and will take the carrier to around 150 flights a week from Glasgow and Prestwick, where it will base two aircraft and from where it aims to carry 1.1 million passengers for the year.
Aberdeen is to get 12 weekly flights to Alicante, Faro and Malaga. "Whether exploring the Algarve’s hidden beaches, hiking Andalucía’s rugged mountains or enjoying sundown cocktails along the Costa Blanca, Scottish holidaymakers will be well served this summer," said Christopher Tibbett, the airport's head of airline relations and marketing.
