Ryanair is adding one additional based aircraft from October 2025, the company said on January 21, 2025. The new based aircraft represents an incremental $100 million investment, bringing the total in Bratislava to three aircraft.
The company said its summer 2025 schedule for Bratislava will deliver a capacity increase of 25%. In addition, it is launching five new routes, including Bari, Gdansk, Milan Malpensa, Skiathos, and Zadar, as well as increasing frequencies across eight existing routes.
“The Slovak Government and Bratislava Airport recognise the importance of delivering cost efficiencies to stimulate investment, capacity growth and access to low fares in what is a very competitive marketplace post-Covid,” said Ryanair chief commercial officer Jason McGuinness.
Bratislava Airport CEO Dusan Novota commented: “After intensive negotiations with the largest European carrier, Ryanair, we managed to agree on expanding the network of routes from Bratislava.”
The three based aircraft represents a total investment of $300 million from Ryanair.
