Royal Jet, an Abu Dhabi-based private jet operator, has selected CFM International as the engine supplier for its coming ACJ320neo fleet.
As announced at the Dubai Airshow, the CFM LEAP-1A engine will power Royal Jet’s three firm orders and six purchase rights for the ACJ320neo.
The ACJ320neo is a jet from Airbus Corporate Jets and is based on the A320neo family commercial aircraft.
“CFM International and its LEAP engines have built a solid reputation in the market for their safety, reliability, and fuel efficiency,” said Mohammed Husain Ahmed, acting CEO of RoyalJet.
“Their impeccable track record of being the preferred engine provider for such aircraft types as the ACJ320neo is almost unquestionable.”
Royal Jet operates mainly from its fixed base of operations at the VIP Terminal at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport.
The company is chaired by Mohammed Bin Mahfoodh Alardhi, a prominent Omani businessman and former head of the Omani air force, who also chairs Investcorp and the Muscat Stock Exchange.
