AnimaWings, a private, 100% Romanian-owned airline, has taken delivery of a new Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

The new aircraft is the airline’s third A220-300 and its fifth aircraft in total. The carrier also operates two A320-200s.

The A220-300 chosen by AnimaWings is configured for both domestic and international routes, with 137 seats, including 12 business class and 125 economy seats.

By the end of 2027, AnimaWings aims to grow its fleet to a total of 18 aircraft worth more than $1bn, which would make it the most valuable fleet in Romania’s private aviation sector.

“This is a strategic investment not only for us as a company, but also for Romania as a whole, being the most extensive investment project in aeronautical infrastructure in recent decades,” said Marius Pandel, president of AnimaWings.

Starting this autumn, AnimaWing will operate 12 new routes that will connect Romania with major European and international destinations such as Istanbul, Munich, Prague, Sofia, Tel Aviv, and Dubai.
