Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines selected by Lion Air

Rolls-Royce has been selected by Indonesian airline Lion Air to supply Trent 700 engines worth $140m at list prices, to power three Airbus A330ceo aircraft.
This is the first time that Lion Air has selected Rolls-Royce engines.

Rusdi Kirana, Lion Group, Chief Executive Officer, said: "We have been impressed with the Trent 700's performance record, and after a thorough evaluation of our options, the engine was the natural choice for this important fleet expansion."

This is further demonstration of the market's continued demand for both the  A330ceo and the Trent 700, which delivers outstanding economics for operators.
