Rolls-Royce names John Rishton to replace Rose

John Rishton is to become replace the outgoing Sir John Rose as chief executive officer at Rolls-Royce. Rose  announced last week that he will retire at the end of March 2011.

Rishton has been a non-executive director of Rolls-Royce and chairman of the board's audit committee since 2007. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, he was CEO of Dutch retail group Royal Ahold in 2006 and before that he was chief financial office of British Airways for four years until 2005.
