RN-Aircraft, Russia's Rosneft oil and gas subsidiary, has agreed to buy 10 Viking Twin Otter Series 400s for delivery between November 2015 and early 2017.
RN-Aircraft plans to use the aircraft in multiple role in Siberia including regional commuter services and corporate shuttle and cargo operations.
“The selection of the Twin Otter by Rosneft confirms that this aircraft is a credible and cost-effective alternative to helicopters currently found in Russia and CIS when it comes to utility air transportation,” Viking vice-president strategic planning Dominque Spragg said.
