Riyadh Air selects CFM LEAP engines for launch of new A321neo fleet

Riyadh Air has signed a firm order for 120 CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power 60 Airbus A321neo family aircraft, which were ordered last year.

The signing took place today (November 18) during the second day of the Dubai Airshow.

The agreement includes spare engines.

“Powering our new fleet with LEAP engines is a major asset for our operations, providing outstanding fuel efficiency, lower noise and emissions, and enhanced durability,” said Riyadh Air CFO Adam Boukadida.

"By supporting Riyadh Air’s fleet introduction, we are proud to contribute to building one of the most fuel-efficient fleets in the region, while helping to foster a dynamic aerospace ecosystem in Saudi Arabia," said CFM International president and CEO Gael Meheust.

Riyadh Air placed a firm order for 60 A321neo family aircraft in October 2024.
