Riyadh Air signed a partnership agreement with unit load device (ULD) management, maintenance, and repair services company Unilode.

This agreement will use Unilode's digital technology, repair network, and ULD fleet to provide comprehensive management and support services. The airline said this will help maintain operational efficiency, reliability, and readiness across its operations. The agreement includes the supply and management of new, lightweight, and durable ULDs. These are essential for the transport of baggage and cargo.

Riyadh Air said it will digitise these assets through Bluetooth-enabled tracking and and Unilode's reader infrastructure. This will allow for real-time monitoring.

“Our partnership with Unilode is more than a technological upgrade, it's about building trust, reducing our environmental footprint, and delivering the premium experience our guests deserve,” said Riyadh Air CFO Adam Boukadida. “Together, we're shaping the future of travel with smart, sustainable, and human-centered solutions.”

Unilode CEO Ross Marino commented: “Our innovative ULD solutions, unrivalled global network, and pioneering digital platform will give Riyadh Air the agility and resilience needed to build one of the most forward-looking airlines in the world.”
