Rex has launched two new routes, with the launch of its Perth-Adelaide route and its Melbourne-Perth route. The former will be operated by E190, wet leased from National Jet Express; the latter route will be serviced by its own fleet of 737 aircraft.
Speaking on the Melbourne-Perth route, Rex general manager of network strategy, Warrick Lodge, said: ""When more airlines compete on a particular route, consumers benefit and our record in the domestic markets speaks for itself – Rex delivers terrific value for money.""
Director of National Jet Express, Anthony Gibara, said of the announcements of the new Adelaide route: ""This is terrific news for Perth and Adelaide travellers because more operators means more competition but in the case of Rex, it also means better service and reliability.""
Gibara added: ""We intend to increase the number of services once we are established on the route.""
