Private investor Rcapital has completed the acquisition of aerospace and defence engineering business FGP Group. This includes the precision engineering business FGP Systems Limited, component manufacturer FGP Lufton Ltd, and surface treatment subsidiary Ramp Surface Coatings.
Rcapital acquired the FGP group from 126 individual shareholders who were participants in the Cyrus Secured Loans Precision Engineering EIS Fund, with the transaction delivered via a solvent sale of the shares in FGP Systems Ltd and Heartland Engineering Ltd.
The company works with a number of blue chip customers including Honeywell, Collins Aerospace, Martin Baker and Curtis Wright. It also participates in aerospace programmes including the A320, A350, 737 and 787 production.
