Rheinland Air Service (RAS), Europe’s independently-owned regional aircraft MRO organization, has launched three new ATR 42/72 line stations throughout Europe. So far this year it has launched the following:
• July 2012: RAS opened a new line station in Albania.
• June 2012: RAS opened a new line station in Germany.
• May 2012: RAS opened a new line station in Italy.
The new line stations complement three ATR line stations RAS currently operates for Airlinair in Stuttgart, Germany; Metz, France; and at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France, where RAS provides additional manpower for their customers. RAS also operates a Boeing 737 line station for Ryanair at Duesseldorf-Weeze, Germany. More line stations are planned.
“We help our customers wherever they need us,” said Walter Lange, COO for RAS. “This dedicated support to our customers’ needs is key to our success, and their success.”
RAS also provides quick turnarounds on component repairs, including flight controls and leading edges. As one of only three companies worldwide to earn ATR Certification for Flight Controls, RAS has serviced clients including Airlinair, Air Dolomiti, Avanti Air, Air Contractors, Aircraft Solution Lux, Air Nostrum, Air Trails, Borajet, Fly540, Nordic Aviation Capital and Phoenix Aircraft Leasing. RAS has repaired 40 flaps and 25 ailerons in the past year, in addition to replacing 120 leading edge deicer boots to date this year.
In addition to launching new line stations, and further broadening their ATR service and parts capabilities, RAS recently opened a new fueling station for the General Aviation Terminal at Frankfurt International Airport in Germany. With this fourth airport fuel location in Germany, and ten years of fueling experience, RAS assures fast, in-time fueling for their customers.
