Qatar Airways returns to Canberra

Qatar Airways has officially resumed flights to Canberra from Doha, with the first Boeing 777 service landing in the Australian capital yesterday (December 2).

This marks the airline's return to the city for the first time since it ceased the route during the pandemic.

“We are delighted to return to Canberra and once again serve Australia’s capital city," said Qatar Airways Group CEO Mohammed Al-Meer. "This milestone represents our continued commitment to the Australian market and to connecting communities across the world.”

The daily service was first announced in December last year.

With this added route, the airline now operates a total Australian network of six key cities, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
