Qatar Airways launches new seasonal service connecting Doha to Trabzon, Turkey

Qatar Airways has launched a new seasonal route connecting Doha, Qatar and Trabzon, Turkey marking the airline’s seventh service in Turkey. The airline will operate thrice week during peak summer season from June 16 to August 22 of this year deploying its A320 on the route.

The new route expands Qatar Airways’ footprint in Türkiye and strengthens its global network of more than 160 destinations.

The airline operated its inaugural flight on June 16, where it was greeted with the traditional water canon salute at Trabzon Int’l Airport followed by a short ceremony.

Other cities in Turkey served by Qatar include, Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Istanbul, and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen.

Commenting on the launch, Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive, Qatar Group said: “Trabzon is an exciting and important new route for Qatar Airways, which solidifies our strong commitment to Türkiye and delivers on the high demand for connectivity between Doha and Trabzon.Reaffirming our commitment to the strong partnership between Qatar and Turkey, Qatar Airways’ network in Türkiye has expanded to 58 weekly flights during the peak summer season.”
