Qatar Airways gradually restoring routes; redundant aircraft moved into storage for safety

Following severe disruption from the Gulf conflict Qatar Airways said it is gradually increasing flights in and out of Doha.

Qatar Airways said in its latest revised schedule, valid until 15 April 2026, that it is providing additional flight frequencies to more than 90 destinations across its global network.

All flights to and from Doha continue to operate through dedicated flight corridors. These routes are established in close coordination with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.

Meanwhile, the carrier has taken moves to protect redundant parts of its fleet from potential war damage by moving some of its aircraft into long term storage at Teruel Airport in Spain. Media reports state that the aircraft being stored include Airbus A380s and 350s.

The Teruel Airport facility can accommodate up to 120 aircraft and is used by airlines when demand is low.
