Qatar Airways cancels two more A320neo orders

Qatar Airways has cancelled two more A320neo orders due to claims the aircraft don’t meet the contractual obligations. Qatar Airways has now cancelled orders for three A320neos. Pratt & Whitney has denied the aircraft do not meet contractual obligations.

Group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, has warned that the airline could report a loss for this fiscal year due to ongoing issues with the aircraft. He also reiterated his promise to continue cancelling orders as each aircraft pass its delivery date.

Because Airbus has not delivered five A350s, Al Baker said that the airline risks reporting a lost this fiscal that ends on March 31, 2017. He described the airline’s relationship with Airbus as “very strained”. QATAR A321
