Qatar Airways and air transport IT provider SITA are to collaborate across a range of secure access service edge (SASE) solutions intended to boost connectivity, operational efficiency and security.
Qatar Airways will be among the first airlines to adopt SITA’s Secure SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network), SITA Connect Go, a platform developed in partnership with Versa Networks. This software-based solution is described by the technology provider as offering ‘agile, scalable and secure access to airline systems and applications’; able to connect infrastructure outstations and airports to hybrid cloud infrastructure and airline’s partner systems.
“Data and connectivity remain the backbone of our industry, and ensuring fast, secure, and reliable connections is crucial to optimizing airline operations and improving the passenger experience,” noted Hani El Asaad, SITA president, Middle East and Africa.
