Qantas resumed limited A380 services on Saturday but on Sunday one of the airline’s 747 aircraft bound for London via Bangkok, was delayed after an engine issue.
CEO Alan Joyce defended Qantas's handling of the A380 incident, which demonstrated its “strong positive safety culture”. He said that they had grounded the fleet to ensure it knew how to fix the design problem before it returned the planes to service.
"I think it'll actually do our brand really good in the medium-to-long term," Joyce said.
