Oman Air expands Moscow service, partners with Qantas

Oman Air has expanded its Moscow service for winter. From October 29, 2024, the airline will offer three direct weekly flights between Muscat and the Russian capital. The frequency will increase to five flights per week from December 1, 2024, and then to six flights from March 29, 2025.

“The route will be served by our 737 aircraft, an adjustment which both allows us to effectively and sustainably expand our services, while navigating constraints in relation to the operational environment,” said Oman Air's chief commercial officer Mike Rutter. “We continue to look into increasing capacity across our network to cater to seasonal demand.”

The airline is also teaming up with Australian flag carrier Qantas with the two airlines announcing a partnership on October 24, 2024. The partnership will allow members of Qantas' loyalty programme, Qantas Frequent Flyers, to use their points on flights operated by Oman Air.

“Oman Air is an impressive airline with an expansive network, a modern fleet, and a premium offering that rivals any international carrier,” commented Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance.

Oman Air operates 35 aircraft, including 10 787 Dreamliners.
