Alan Joyce, chief executive of Qantas, was attacked when he was giving a keynote speech at a conference in Perth, by a man who shoved a pie in his face. Local media could not confirm why the attack happened but they did discover that the pie in question was a lemon meringue. A police spokesperson confirmed that charges are likely to be filed against the attacker. Joyce brushed off the incident to return to complete his speech to applause from the audience.
