Luxury brand owner the Prada Group has announced its first investment in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) credits in partnership with DHL Global Forwarding. The partnership will utilise the latter’s GoGreen Plus service, building on a previous agreement in 2023 that saw the Prada Group save approximately 4,500 metric tons of CO2 (equivalent to 7% of the group’s total transport-related emissions).
The SAF used by DLH to offset the Prada Group’s emissions is independently certified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), guaranteeing it is produced in compliance with vigorous sustainability standards.
“In today’s world, it is crucial to establish a clear roadmap for decarbonization that involves carriers, SAF manufacturers, regulators, and customers,” explained Mario Zini, managing director of DHL Global Forwarding Italy. “We are proud that the Prada Group has chosen to leverage the expertise of DHL Global Forwarding to form a partnership that we believe will drive the much-needed change forward”.
