North American carrier Porter Airlines has commenced daily scheduled roundtrip flights between its home base and Los Angeles. Operating from Toronto Pearson International Airport, the service to Los International Airport is served by an E195-E2 in a 132-seat, all-economy configuration.
“The new direct daily Porter route… will support new business partnerships and help deepen the already extensive people-to-people connections between Canada and Southern California,” said Zaib Shaikh, consul general of Canada in Los Angeles.
Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines, added that “the level of service that Porter provides is something that no other airline offers for economy passengers on this route;” pointing to the ‘elevated economy’ experience including complimentary alcohol, food and on-board WiFi.
Los Angeles was the fourth busiest transborder destination out of Toronto Pearson in 2023, with demand for travel between the two cities expected to remain high.
